You had me on the edge of my seat--not a comfortable place to perch but hopeful. It means a lot to everyone that you are sharing these details and increasing our knowledge base while we root for you.

I was watching for this update religiously and praying for you everyday. I am still here because of your work and research and once upon a time students. It certainly is a great day to see you writing again.

So sorry to hear of your health journey and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I am just curious as I believe you are Type A, which is what I am as well, do you have a gluten related disorder? I was diagnosed as celiac about 2 years ago and it has made quite a difference to my respiratory system to be off the wheat, etc. Although, corn is neutral for Type A, this is an ABSOLUTE AVOID for me. I have found that corn is one of the basic staples in gluten free products so I have had to be vigilant in reading ingredients to ensure corn is not one of the ingredients in a gluten free product. I mostly use whole foods and now rarely buy gluten free products AND what a difference it has made to my respiratory system including my sinuses as I used to have continuous sinus infections for years. There is a Wheat Zoomer test that is available in the US to see if there are elevated antibodies to TG2 or TG3 or TG6 as you most likely know each of these are related to various areas of the body that affects other health issues with respiratory, brain, skin etc. I thought I would ask and share this info as I myself was headed down a respiratory diseases pathway but I truly thank God that he opened doors for me to be able to discover and explore the root of my problem to bring transformation to my present health. In so doing I furthered my studies to become an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and a Certified Gluten Free Practitioner and it has been an awesome journey of empowering me to become my best healthy self.

Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Blessings,

Lorraine

This is so interesting! Thanks for sharing, beyond the fact that I need to always learn as a clinician but also that my daughter and husband are type A ( I am O). ❤️

Very interesting for me as well! It was through the process of a 90 day elimination diet that I discovered I was adverse to corn - anything corn like cornstarch, corn syrup, cornmeal, etc. If I have a very small amount of it in something that I eat I have a feeling like something is crawling in my head and if I were to have a couple of tablespoons of corn as a side dish I have a full blown headache that lasts for over a day. The other thing I discovered is cows milk (which is an AVOID for Type A) causes me to have nosebleeds, which I have had since a young child and even lactose free products still trigger the nosebleeds. I use goat butter and cheese, as well as soy and almond milk as my staples. However, it is very difficult when eating out to not have some cross contamination of milk products so being vigilant in reading and inquiring has become essential for me. Interesting enough, I also did a Facebook post one time about whether or not people had nosebleeds and if so what was their blood type. Many of my relatives, both close and more distant, replied they always had them and didn’t know what might be causing it and most were Type A but a few were Type O. I would love to delve into this more and it would make an interesting study for sure.

I saw a movie while you where in hospital, called “the physician “ … if anyone here has seen it, they will get it why it made me think of you. You are one of the best teachers I ever had , but one I never had a chance to ever meet. That movie reminds me of this community of clinicians you created , no matter where in the

world we are, religion, race, a place were everyone is try to learn together behind same purpose. If there is anything any of us can do for you, your wife or your kids, anything, we are all here. Thanks for finding within you strength to write .
